Can I join a professional register when I finish the course?

Yes, once you have completed and passed the Hypnotherapy Diploma course you will be eligible to join the NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy), the GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register) and the CNHC ( Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council). How many hours per week do I need to commit to the course?

The complete course including attendance on the course and all your reading, research, practice, and coursework adds up to 450 hours. If you wanted to complete all your work by the end of the course then this works out at around 10 hours per week. You can also if needed have up to 6 months from the course end to finish your practice hours and course work.

How long does it take for me to receive my diploma certificate when I have finished the course?

It can take around 3 months from the time you submit your final work to the time you receive your diploma certificate, as your work needs to be marked by myself then it has to be sent off to the NCH and then onto the NCFE for accreditation.

If I pay my deposit and then circumstances arise that mean I cannot attend the course do you offer a refund?

A refund of your deposit and any additional monies paid is available up to 45 days before the start of the course less a £100 administration fee. Alternatively you can put what you have paid towards the next available course.

What happens if you cancel the course?

If for any reason the course is cancelled you will receive a full refund of any monies you have paid.

Do I need to be academic to attend the course?

You don’t need any prior qualifications to do the course, but you do need a good grasp of the English language and have the ability to evidence your understanding of the learning outcomes required to pass your HPD, and we will support you with this. This evidence is usually written but you also have the option of evidencing the learning outcomes through a professional discussion route. You also need to be able to demonstrate to your tutors throughout the course that you will be an ethical and sound practitioner of Hypnotherapy.

I have a disability; will this prevent me from attending this course?

We believe in equal opportunities and will do our best to help you in any way we can to allow you to attend our course. Please let us know if you have a disability on your application and we can explore further how we can support you.

What happens if I can’t attend any of the course dates?

You need to attend a minimum of 90% of the course to pass. We encourage you to have study buddy and if you miss any of the modules to contact them and ask them to collect any handouts and arrange a time with them to discuss and practice anything you have missed. You will also need to send in a summary of at least 500 words to show your understanding of what you have missed. 1-2-1 training is also available through your tutors to cover any work you have missed at an additional cost.

Is there anyone who can’t attend the course?

You need to be ethical and have a desire to help others and be someone who is willing to work as a team with your other course attendees and tutors. Like counselling training you are expected to work on yourself and participate in practicing new skills with the other course attendees. This course is not suitable for anyone who has criminal convictions or sanctions or with any serious mental health issues or history (including psychosis or psychotic symptoms), which indicates unsuitability to becoming a therapist. You need to have a mature and sound outlook on life and we wouldn’t usually accept anyone on the course who is under the age of 21 years old. How do I apply for the course?

You need to complete and submit our application form. We require two references, so on your application form you will need to provide details of two referees. If your application is successful we will ask you to attend an interview and if you are suitable to attend the course we will offer you a place. Paying your deposit will then secure your place.
