I loved the training.
It was such a rewarding experience and so much more than I was expecting. I can honestly say it has changed my life. When the course is completed you are lucky enough to become part of a community of like-minded and supportive therapists. It is such a blessing and i’ve met some fantastic people.
It could be quite a nerve-racking realisation as you near the end of your course that you are nearly ready to head out and do your own thing. Do you set up on your own? Should it be your only source of income? How can you know you are truly ready? TRUST yourself. Life Clinic’s course is fantastic; thorough, in-depth, and it gives you so many opportunities to work on yourself throughout the process. My advice would be to fully open yourself up to healing and working on yourself in the many many practice hours, they are invaluable! I literally feel like the butterfly that has emerged from the chrysalis. I’m a different version of the person who walked into class that first day. A better, stronger person.
That process is what made it so easy for me to start client work straight away, and without even needing to advertise! Be confident, be grateful, be open. Start work on the invaluable social media pages that highlight you as an individual. Don’t try to fit a mould, just share posts and thoughts that suit you. Be you and the right clients will come.
My first ‘real client’ wasn’t a nerve-racking experience at all, I felt excited and ready to start helping people find the life they deserved. I work out of Abbey Place Clinic in Faversham, hiring a therapy room as and when I need it. Very quickly i was seeing four or five clients a week, which I continue to do now. That is enough for my needs and I know that I could attract more clients if I advertised. For the first time in my life I understand what is meant by finding a job you love and never having to work a day in your life.
I love my new life and career, I love the work my clients and I undertake together, and I feel so proud of them when I see their progress. You can’t ask for better than that!
