This course is aimed at professionals who would like to gain a better understanding of Autism and how to make changes in a therapeutic setting to create effective communication. During the course you will learn:

  • What is Autism – understanding the diagnosis
  • Behavioural characteristics (including masking and stimming)
  • How Autism presents in children and adults
  • Impact on social and communication
  • How to create effective communication in a therapeutic setting
  • Strategies around communication, non-verbal communication, and sensory issues

About Jan Williams DipCBH GQHP

Jan has been a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist for nearly 10 years. She works from a private practice delivering an integrated approach using CBT, NLP, and TFT. She also works in a 1:1 setting with adults with a diagnosis of Autism and significant mental health issues to empower them to gain confidence and overcome social and emotional challenges. She is extremely passionate about creating a deeper understanding of Autism within the professional, therapeutic and wider community.
